LONDON Prince George has some top-notch sartorial style. When he’s not dressed up in a cute pair of shorts and long socks, he’s wearing a nautical-inspired outfit.

One British mum has decided that everyone should have clothes as nice as Prince George. So she’s selling handmade Prince George-inspired sailor suits on Etsy.

When Caroline Stansfield’s baby boy was born, she found it hard to find traditional baby clothes for him. She decided to start hand-making alternative outfits for baby Drake.

Stansfield’s father is a sailor, and Stansfield says she’s dressed Drake in sailor suits “from day one”.

“I am a big fan of the royals and of Prince George’s outfits but I wanted to created something classy but also manly,” Stansfield explains.

Stansfield says she collects vintage sewing patterns from the 1950s and 1970s to combine design ideas and redraft her own patterns.

“You find most old clothes don’t have elastic, I try and make my clothes as practical and long-lasting as possible,” says Stansfield.

“Everything is handmade by me whilst my little boy plays around me; I am always concerned who makes my clothes which is one of the reasons I began making them myself,” Stansfield continued.

Stansfield says Drake gets lots of compliments when he’s out and about in his sailor suits.

“To be honest I’ve never seen another baby in a sailor suit at the park, but they’re very practical! I think people like the fact they’re tailored and don’t have any branding,” says Stansfield.

Those wanting to dress up their little ones in sailor suits can get their hands on one on Etsy for 24 ($30.32).

Do they come in adult sizes, though?
