Dude is far from alone in his viral request for a bigger fake tanning mitt

Fake tanning is messy, made worse by a too small protective mitt.

As the dutiful partners of the world might know, sometimes your significant needs a helping hand when it comes to personal grooming.

Like Australian man, Matt Edwards, who was in Sydney for his uncle’s wedding and had to help apply fake tan on his fiance’s back in preparation a messy job, made worse by the fact the mitts included in the tanning kit were too damn small.

So Edwards took to Facebook to complain on the company’s page.

“My [fiance], much like many other women out there enjoy your tanning products and she has no complaint whatsoever. But I do,” he wrote to Bondi Sands.

“I am, what could be assumed as average size, and can only think that this mitt does not fit many other mans hands out there. I am sure, much of my displeasure, that my gorgeous fianc will continue to use your lovely products regardless of my issue.

“But please, in future make the mitt bigger or include an extra mitt for those men out there that must assist the women they love.”

Sure, it sounds like a regular (and reasonable) complaint. But the post at the time of writing has had more than 28,000 likes and more than 8,000 comments.

Seems like there are plenty of other people who have the same issue, or have other bugbears with the inadequate tanning mitt.

Edwards told Mashable he’s “very surprised about the amount of comments I have had from other guys who have had the same issue.”

However, he’s yet to receive a response from Bondi Sands with regard to the matter. Mashable has contacted Bondi Sands for further comment.

Sorry to all the extra people who may have to tan their partners now, thanks to this post.
