Campbell did his own online research and decided to put it to the test.
Most 12-year-old boys are all about sports, video games and making a mess. Theyre super active, crazy full of energy and some of them even have cracking voices.
Not Campbell Remess though. Campbells free time is spent on his sewing machineits something his mom says she has to pull him away from. He doesn’t even want to play Xbox or watch movies.
“If Campbell could be on that sewing machine 24/7, he would,” she said, admitting she has to pry him away to do anything else. “If I say don’t do it, he sneaks.”
But the reason behind his round-the-clock dedication is the most beautiful thing of all.
It all started around the holidays when Campbell, whose heart is truly made of gold, asked his mom if he could give presents to sick kids at the hospital. His mom was touched by his desire to bring joy to other kids. Having nine children of her own though meant that there was no room in the budget to buy gifts for other kids.
Campbell was disappointed, but not discouraged. He went online and found his own sewing pattern. It wasnt long before this 12-year-old had mastered the art of creating teddy bears. Hes since gone on to make a variety of stuffed gifts for kiddos who are stuck in the hospital.
Campbells eight siblings love seeing what furry creations he comes up with. Theyve all lost count of how many hes made, but his mom believes its somewhere around 700-800 so far.
With a heart full of love, and arms full of teddy bears, Campbell makes weekly trips to the hospital where he delivers each creation by hand.
Campbell is an inspiration to say the least, but its his motivation to keep sewing that will leave you speechless.
